Evan Hughes is an award-winning play-by-play broadcaster, sideline reporter and podcast host from Rockville, Virginia. He is currently the Assistant Director of Broadcast Services at Virginia Tech Sports Properties, serving as the radio play-by-play voice of Virginia Tech women's basketball and baseball. Hughes also hosts the Hokie Sports Insider Podcast, a weekly show that gives updates on Virginia Tech sports and features exclusive interviews with coaches and players. In addition, he does play-by-play and sideline work for the ACC Network Extra on the ESPN App. Hughes holds a degree in Multimedia Journalism with a concentration in Sports Media and Analytics from Virginia Tech.
